Who are we looking for?

  • You are proficient in feed formulation software (Format International, Brill, or equivalent) and have a strong knowledge of feed ingredients, nutrient interactions, and additive technologies.
  • You are driven to conduct on-farm feed trials, monitor performance data (FCR, weight gain), and introduce innovations in feed composition to achieve superior results.
  • You can strategically balance nutritional performance with cost efficiency and monitor market trends to advise procurement on cost-effective raw material sourcing and specifications.
  • You have strong Collaboration and Communication skills, capable of liaising effectively with the Plant Manager, QA teams, external labs, and providing technical training to plant operators and farm technicians.

Key Responsibilities

  • You will develop and maintain feed formulas for poultry (layers, broilers) and livestock, utilizing advanced formulation software and established SFPs (Standard Formulation Procedures).
  • You will conduct ingredient evaluation and nutrient analysis of raw materials.
  • You will balance feed for energy, protein, vitamins, and minerals according to animal needs and production stage.
  • You will introduce innovations in feed composition, additives, and performance enhancers.
  • You will establish and document Standard Formulation Procedures (SFPs).
  • You will liaise with research institutions and laboratories to validate formula performance and raw material quality.

Quality Assurance & Performance Monitoring

  • You will work with QA teams to monitor feed quality, pellet durability, and nutrient retention.
  • You will review animal performance data (feed conversion ratio, weight gain, egg production) to refine formulas.
  • You will establish nutrient baselines for raw materials and develop supplier specifications.
  • You will design and oversee feed trials to test new formulas and additives.
  • You will support certification processes and regulatory documentation (SON, NAFDAC, ISO).

Cost & Efficiency Optimization

  • You will balance nutritional performance with cost efficiency in feed formulation.
  • You will monitor market trends for raw materials and recommend cost-effective alternatives.
  • You will advise procurement on raw material specifications and sourcing decisions.

Technical Training & Support

  • You will train plant operators on formula adherence and production protocols.
  • You will provide nutritional guidance to poultry supervisors and farm technicians.
  • You will document and maintain formulation archives and feed performance reports.

What Success looks like...

  • Achieving measurable Feed Conversion Ratio (FCR) improvement targets and optimizing animal performance metrics (e.g., egg production, weight gain).
  • Successfully driving Feed production cost optimization while maintaining strict nutritional efficacy and reducing raw material variance.
  • Consistently achieving high Nutritional consistency and quality audit scores with zero critical non-compliance issues reported by the QA team or external labs.
  • Successfully meeting product development milestones and introducing innovations that result in competitive advantages, supported by validation data.

To be considered for this role you should have...

  • Minimum of 1year experience in commercial feed formulation for poultry or livestock.

Accad Farms is seeking a highly skilled fish farmer to oversee day-to-day operations of the fish farm, ensuring optimal growth, health, and productivity of the stock. The ideal candidate must have strong hands-on experience managing Catfish (Clarias), Tilapia (Hybrid and Local), and Carp. The role requires deep practical knowledge of pond management, feeding systems, water quality control, harvesting, and an added advantage in fish processing. The candidate must be ready to resume immediately.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily fish farming operations across all ponds.
  • Monitor water quality, adjust parameters, and ensure healthy aquatic conditions.
  • Handle stocking, feeding, grading, treatment, and harvesting activities.
  • Identify early signs of disease and take prompt corrective action.
  • Maintain accurate records of feed usage, growth rates, mortality, and harvest yields.
  • Manage breeding programs where applicable.
  • Oversee pond preparation, cleaning, drainage, and liming.
